Saskatoon Equity Building Program

The Equity Building Program assists those currently renting in Saskatoon with purchasing an entry- level home by financing the down payment.

Key Partners

Affinity Credit Union (exclusive financial institution), City of Saskatoon, Genworth Financial Canada, CMHC.

Program Guidelines

?Affinity Credit Union will provide an equity loan for the down payment up to a maximum of 5% of the purchase price, which must be re-paid over a five-year period.

Annual household income limits will apply

Closed 5-year term at current residential mortgage rates apply.

Borrower must qualify under Affinity Credit Union Guidelines.

Applications must meet the requirements of the either Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation or Genworth Financial Canada

Applicant must currently be renting in Saskatoon for at least 6 months.

Home buyers should inquire at Affinity Credit Union to be pre-approved to purchase a home under this program.
